Mission Statement We, the members of the Montoursville Police Department, are committed to being responsive to our community in the delivery of quality police services. Recognizing our responsibility to maintain order, while affording dignity and respect to every individual, our mission is to improve the quality of life in our jurisdiction through a community partnership which promotes safe and secure neighborhoods and business districts. We will enforce the laws of this Commonwealth and of the community we serve. The laws include, but are not limited to, the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, the Federal Commercial Safe Vehicle Statutes, the Montoursville Borough Ordinances and various laws that assist us in keeping our community a safe haven to live in. We will do our best to curb crime through positive interaction with our community and its citizens and active patrol looking for signs of potential problems that may affect our quality of life. Police protection is only as good as the trust and interaction that the citizens have with the police department. We will strive to promote positive interaction with all citizens in order to keep the lines of communication open and work together to keep our community safe. If you SEE it, REPORT it. |
